Hey Gcores! My name is Mindaugas Znutas. I was born in Lithuania in 1989, and when I was ten years old my family moved to Spain.
I grew up there, and later studied History at the University of Girona.
History has always been important to me, and it shaped the way I see strategy, warfare, and storytelling.
Games also played a big role in my life. I spent many years modding different strategy games like Total War or Mount and Blade, and even if my knowledge was limited, it helped me understand how games are built.
In March 2023 I started developing Carthage: Bellum Punicum for Android. I was working alone, learning everything step by step, and trying to bring an idea to life. I released the Android version in September of the same year. During the year that followed, I added updates, improved features, and also started thinking about how a PC version should be.
In January 2024 I finally began working full time on the PC version of Carthage: Bellum Punicum. The reason why I started this project is very simple. I enjoyed watching historical videos that used square symbols to show units on the battlefield. I liked the clarity, the style, and the way battles became easier to read. I wanted to play a game that used this same visual language, but no such game existed. So I decided to make it myself. I wanted something that looked clean, realistic, and focused on decisions and maneuver instead of fast clicking.
That idea became Carthage: Bellum Punicum.

同年9月,游戏安卓版本正式上线。此后一年间,我持续更新内容、完善功能,并开始构思PC版本应有的形态。直至2024年1月,我终于能全身心投入PC版本的开发,我也决定将中文版命名为《迦太基:决战罗马》
启动这个项目的理由很简单:我常观看用方形符号标示战场单位的历史解说视频,欣赏那种清晰、独特的视觉风格,以及由此呈现的、一目了然的战局演变。
我一直希望能玩到采用同样视觉语言的作品,但这样的游戏并不存在。于是我决定亲手创造——我想要一款界面简洁、观感真实、注重决策与调度而非快速点击的游戏。这个想法,最终便成为了《迦太基:决战罗马》。
在几乎所有的游戏里,我们都扮演罗马去征服世界,这很棒,但我们也渴望站在另一边,去体验汉尼拔那近乎成功的、悲壮而伟大的征程。
我决定亲手打造这个“如果”。我们的目标很明确:做一款真正为硬核策略玩家设计的游戏,它必须宏大如史诗,又细腻如沙盘,让你能同时扮演战略家与战术家。
