使命召唤系列（Call of Duty Series，CoD）树大根深，光主机PC端单体作品就已经出了21代，设定有二战、现代战争（冷战、海湾战争）、未来战争和太空战争等等，除此之外还出了多人对战的coop/battle royale和手游等等衍生，（不管有多少争议）以知名度和商业价值为衡量CoD绝对可以是游戏界第一IP。

稀记得十几年前玩过老现代战争一代（2007，全系列的4代) ，颠覆三观级的震撼，不过后来一直没玩过，直到23年的时候用香港政府的优惠券在Battlenet上随便买了一个2000年重置的 老现代战争2代战役版。

其实一直想补点CoD的课，但是因为作品实在太多（+价格的原因），实在是无从下手，就像下面Reddit上这个笑话：

Grandma: "I'm looking for a game called Call a Duty Modern Warfare for my grandson for Christmas, he said it's for the Xbox"

GameStop employee: "Okay so we have Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Which one did he want?"

Grandma: ...

Grandma: "He's getting socks instead"

今天稍微做了一点research，终于大概理清楚了个人需求：

只玩单机战役，准备把让CoD系列封神的是现代战争系列三部曲 (Modern Warfare Trilogies MW)补齐：

1 现代战争I（2017， Modern Warfare I重制版）+

2 现代战争III (2011 ， 8代)+

*3 新现代战争  现代战争I （2019，16代， IW开发且为MW重启后评价最高的一代）

*2007-2011是最经典的老版，2017重置了1代(不是IW Infinity Ward开发而是Raven Software)、2020年重置了2代的战役（开发商Beenox) ,后来2019年重启现代战争系列（reboot），除了一些老角色（eg. Captain Price）登场之外剧情和老版之间的关联不大。
